What is the importance of wearing organic clothing? Is there a difference between organic cotton and conventional cotton?
Many people choose to wear organic clothing for the environmental and sustainability factors. However, in addition to the health of our environment, wearing organic clothing contributes to the greater health of those who wear them. Now more than ever it is imperative to support organic crops. We are aware of this for the food crops we eat but we must also be aware of this importance for crops such as organic cotton and all agriculture that we grow on this planet. The rise of GMO (genetically modified organisms) entering into our agriculture has alarming risks that can not be ignored. GMO agriculture is highly unsustainable and extremely toxic, and we are already seeing the huge impact of and the direct effects that both GMO and conventional crops have on our health and the health of the environment.
What is the difference between an organic cotton and conventional cotton garment?
Organic cotton is grown organically, meaning it is grown without the use of harmful pesticides, herbicides and chemical fertilizers. Additionally, the organic cotton fibers are made into fabric using non-toxic manufacturing processes, dyes and finishes. Organic cotton tends to have a softer hand and lasts longer due to not being treated with chemicals, which have the tendency to compromise the quality of the fibers and break them down sooner.
Who are your products recommended for?
Our product line does not have a particular target market. We aim to provide attractive apparel for men, women and children in all age ranges, shapes, and styles, who are looking for a health conscious/eco friendly alternative. Because our products are made without the use of harmful chemicals, our garments are exceptional for people with chemical sensitivities and clothing allergies.
*Although our products have been shown to work for most people with chemical sensitivities and clothing allergies, we can not promise they will work for everyone. Each person is different, and the way you react to a particular product may be significantly different from the way other people react to such a product.
Additionally, our garments are made to be non-restrictive to allow for the natural lymph movement in the body. Wearing bras, undergarments and clothing that is smaller than recommended or too tight may hinder your lymph system to work properly. *Therefore (for our bras), if you are larger busted please note that our bras are not created for maximum support. If you are looking for a “push-up” bra, or something that really holds your ta tas in place then our bras are probably not the best option for you.
Will your products help me if I have certain skin conditions/allergies?
We have many customers who have found relief for their skin conditions and allergies with our apparel. However, since there are varying degrees of symptoms which people experience, we cannot claim that because our clothing has helped one person that it will help others with the same condition. We do our best to ensure our products are as pure for your skin as possible and being that our clothing falls in-line with the Global Organic Textile Standards, the manufacturing and finishing processes have been tested to be free of harmful chemicals, heavy metals, etc. and have been found to not cause skin reactions and sensitivities.

Where are your products made?
We carry products in our marketplace that are manufactured all throughout the world. Many of the products being manufactured in the U.S.A, and others manufactured in countries with fair-trade practices and high organic standards. We work with these manufacturers to support and preserve the organic practices they have worked many years and sometimes centuries to develop and perfect. Many of these practices, unfortunately, can not be found in The States; so we support the cultures that have preserved these practices in hopes that we can bring them to our country as we grow the organic textiles industry. We value and appreciate these natural processes that have been preserved from generation to generation by artisans in other cultures and we want to support these practices and keep them alive within their heritage; while bringing them to life within our culture and throughout the world.
By supporting natural, handmade, and ethically sourced goods, whether in the U.S.A. or other countries, it is our mission to sustain these organic processes while bringing these techniques to the forefront. Through sharing these techniques, we encourage other businesses to employ these methods in order to make them more mainstream and to allow for further expansion of natural/ethical goods in the marketplace.
I see some of the fabrics are blended with Spandex/Lycra, that is not a natural fiber is it?
Correct, most spandex/lycra is made from a polymer called polyurethane which is a synthetic fiber made from polyester. We make sure the percentage of these fibers that may be used in some of our garments is a very small percentage in relation to the main fabric content of the organic and natural fibers. We offer spandex/lycra/elastane in some of our fabrics because it allows for better contouring on the body for garments such as intimate apparel and clothing which you need to move and be flexible in such as yoga/athletic wear. These fibers also help garments to hold their shape and not bag out, giving them a longer life in your closet. Using a fabric with a little bit of stretch also helps so that we can refrain from using elastic/latex bands in many of our styles for those who have latex allergies and sensitivities.
For those who want to only wear 100% organic/natural fibered apparel we offer many styles that are made from 100% pure fibers.
How do I wash my organic apparel?
Most of our garments are machine washable. To lengthen the lifespan of your organic apparel, it is recommended to wash your clothing with the following care instructions:
Hand or machine wash cold with like colors. Use chemical free detergent and wash with other chemical free clothing. Do not bleach. Lay flat or tumble dry low. Cool iron if needed. (We prefer hand washing and air drying to help protect the environment from off gasses, save energy, and give your garment a longer life. Air drying also helps protect the fabric from pilling and rubbing against other fabrics in the dryer.)
*Do not use fabric softener or dryer sheets as they contain many toxic chemicals and fragrances.
*For extra care, wash smaller garments such as bras and underwear in a lingerie bag to separate from other clothing.
Why is some of your organic apparel more expensive than other organic apparel on the market?
We strive to offer products using only the finest and unadulterated of fabric and materials to insure they are as PURE for the wearer as possible. Garments mixed with “eco” fibers such as recycled polyester can make a t-shirt more affordable, but it will not be as healthy for our skin or our environment in the long run. There are also many apparel companies using organic or natural fibered fabrics that are not so organic after being processed with chemical solvents, dyes, or finishes in the manufacturing process.
Factors such as these along with our ethical commitments and purity standards take more of an investment in materials, sourcing and production to insure we are remaining as true to our Ohganix Standards as possible.
We aim to provide organic clothing at prices that can be affordable to everyone. We currently offer a broad range of apparel and accessories at various price-points and as the demand for organic and ethical apparel grows within the marketplace, that will mean more affordable priced materials for our manufacturers and more affordable priced garments that we can share with you!
RETURNS AND EXCHANGES
What is your return/exchange policy?
Clothing items (Including bras) – We want to make sure that you are happy with your order and that it fits you perfectly. If you need to return any of our clothing items or exchange for a different size we will be happy to do so within 30 days of your purchase. All returned items must be unwashed/unworn in original packaging and with hang tags still attached.
Underwear – Due to health code regulations, we are not able to accept returns on underwear. Before you stock up on our undergarments, we recommend you buy one of the style(s) you are interested in to make sure it is the correct size and fit. Please contact us if you have questions on sizing or any other questions on our products before ordering.
Other Products – All other retail products purchased on Ohganix.com can be returned for a full refund within 30 days of purchase as long as the product has been unused and is in the original packaging.
Please include a copy of your receipt/invoice along with all returns/exchanges. We do not keep credit card information on file and we will need this to process your return/exchange. You can either write your credit card number and card expiration date on the copy of your invoice along with your return/exchange or we will be contacting you once we receive your package to get this information.

Once a return is processed, a full refund will be returned to the original method of payment, less the shipping and handling fee. Please allow 1-2 weeks for us to process the return after it has been received. Once the return has been processed it may take 7-10 business days for the return to credit back onto your original payment method. Customer is responsible for return shipping and items should be in original packaging with all tags attached. We reserve the right to refuse any items that return to us in unsalable condition. Returns and Exchanges must be prepaid and we do not except any C.O.D deliveries.

All orders ship from West Palm Beach, Florida. Usually any orders that are received by 8AM (EST) ship the same day and anything after will ship the following business day (M-F)
Shipping and Handling Charges
Our shipping and handling rates are actual shipping and packaging costs. With standard delivery, delivery times are not guaranteed. If you are located in the U.S., please allow at least 2-7 days after the package has shipped to receive your package but please note delivery times may differ. If you would like faster delivery or if you need it to arrive by a certain date, please chose an expedited delivery option that offers a guaranteed delivery date.
*Please note* – We are not responsible for any packages once they leave our shipment facility. We can provide you with a tracking number and it is up to you to contact your local post office/delivery service regarding your shipment.

We do not cover nor are we responsible for any custom or duty fees. It is the responsibility of the customer to clear the items into their country and pay any fees/charges for the goods as required.
